Synopsis
This narrative short tells the story of Wesley and Krys, a potential interracial couple, are on their first date. A mysterious text message forces them to confront who they truly are. It’s a film that embraces having difficult conversations while confronting ideas of race, gender, and how we can falsely perceive other people.

The Challenge
To create an impactful short film that introduced the topics of interracial dating, multiracial experiences and the Blended Future Project to the general public.
THE SOLUTION
We created a successful crowdfunding campaign that doubled as raising awareness around the film and the company. Documented the process of creating and editing the film. Launched a blog around the film centering issues of interracial relationships and multiracial experiences.
THE IMPACT
The film qualified for the Academy Awards, was screened for several organizations (including MASC and Kin), picked up for streaming distribution on Soleil Space and launched on YouTube with over 18K views with little marketing push. The blog and social media channels created a passionate fanbase which continues to support our ongoing projects.
